We are a Taiwanese gallery which is not only devoted to promoting Asian art but also recommending works of excellent artists worldwide.
Established in 1997, Cloud Gallery as the first one opened in Taipei Art Industry Association is located on Mingshui Rd., Dazhi Redevelopment Zone. In the past twenty
years, we have presented numerous Taiwan classic artists and contemporary Asian artistic works. Through the exploration and research of Asian history of art, we organize a Taiwan-based coordinate with international perspectives.
Acutely aware of a philosophized and diverse art society nowadays, rather than an age of grand narrative, we founded an interdisciplinary space in 2012, hoping to host regular forums and provide experimental stages for young artists. Through the communication brought by disparate activities, we also attempt to set up various cooperative platforms and create chances for artists.
Quality is always our primary concern; thus, we curate solely eight to ten exhibitions per year with great elaborateness. Besides, we attend four to six art fairs (both national and international) every year, in the hope of participating global communities. To expand the visibility of Taiwanese contemporary art, we, together with other galleries, academia or enterprises, organize considerable exhibitions. Thanks to the alliance, we are able develop a
mode of promotion as well as localize art.
The rapid transformation of Asian political and economic situation and the rise of China cause the fluctuation of art. Taiwanese art also undergoes its rise and fall. However, we firmly believe that outstanding works will never be devoured by time and their value will be manifested at last. Hence, our goal is to be one step advanced the trend, and select timeless collections for the public.
Proactive view-point is crucial to art industry. Thus, Cloud Gallery always takes the meta-perspective with the reference of contemporary trends. Over a long period of time, we record the creation process of our chosen artists in various ways, aiming to leave traces for further research.
Taiwan contemporary art extracts the essence of Chinese art and collaborates with the international cultures. Absorbing all the nutrients, we are able to curate exhibition of our unique styles and insist the best artistic works all the time.
